Straight answers to the questions we hear most from homeowners along the Texas and Gulf Coast. If your question is not here, call or text us at 888-684-6110.
How much weight can an EasyLift cargo lift carry?
Every EasyLift is rated to carry 1,000 pounds. That covers what most families actually move up and down: groceries, luggage, coolers, furniture, tools and building materials.
Can people ride on the lift?
No. An EasyLift is a cargo lift, not a passenger elevator. It is designed and built to carry non-living cargo only, and it should never be used to lift people or pets.
Will it hold up in salt air?
That is what it was built for. The frame is 6061 marine grade aluminum, and the cables, fasteners and hardware are stainless steel. Coastal weather is the environment these lifts were designed around, not an afterthought.
What happens if a cable fails?
The cage stops. Since 2009 every EasyLift has come standard with an expanded aluminum cage and the CageArrest brake system, which is designed to arrest the cage if a cable ever gives way. It is not an upgrade or an option. It is on every lift we build.
How big is the platform?
Our prebuilt platform is 46 inches by 48 inches. If your space or your cargo calls for something different, we design and build custom sizes.
How many stories can it serve?
EasyLift models are built for two story and three story homes.
How fast does it travel?
The lift travels at 12.5 feet per minute, a deliberate, controlled speed rather than a fast one.
How do you operate it?
With a handheld wireless remote. Two story models use a simple two button remote. Three story models use a 1-2-3 control so you can send the lift to the floor you want.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. Every EasyLift carries a 5 Year Limited Warranty. Once your lift is installed, you can register it on our warranty registration page.
Can I install it myself?
Many owners do. Our DIY kits come with step by step instructions, templates and a parts checklist, and our dealers are available if you get stuck along the way.
Do you have dealers who install?
Yes. We work with a dealer network along the Gulf Coast. Contact us with your location and we will point you to the right person for your area.
Where are you located?
Our main office is in Lufkin, Texas, at 10049 FM 58. We also keep a satellite office in Port Bolivar, Texas, by appointment.
How much does a cargo lift cost?
It depends on the height you need, the platform size and the options you choose, so we quote each job rather than post a single price. Call or text us with your setup and we will give you a real number.
